Combination or Unbalanced Skin Starter Regimen
Guided by Char's 20+ years of hands-on studio experience. This balanced 5-step starter regimen is designed for combination or unbalanced-looking skin using Char's recommended order: cleanse, refine, tone, hydrate, and protect. The routine supports oilier areas without neglecting drier zones, helping the skin feel fresh, comfortable, and less easily thrown off.
Use Pore Perfector mainly where shine or visible congestion appears. Do not automatically apply it heavily to drier areas.
Step 1 — Cleanse — Sensitive Gel Wash
What it is: A studio-quality gentle cleanser for combination, unbalanced, or easily unsettled skin.
Why it’s here: Creates a calm starting point without leaving drier areas tight or oilier areas feeling coated.
Step 2 — Refine — Pore Perfector
What it is: Targeted refining support for oilier, shinier, or visibly congested-looking areas.
Why it’s here: Helps address the areas that need extra refinement without forcing the entire face into an aggressive oily-skin routine.
Step 3 — Tone — Environmental Defense Toner Mist
What it is: A lightweight refreshing mist that adds hydration and prepares the skin for the next step.
Why it’s here: Creates a soft bridge between refining and hydration so the routine stays balanced rather than harsh.
Step 4 — Hydrate — Tea Tree Hydrating Gel
What it is: Lightweight gel hydration for skin that needs comfort without a heavy cream finish.
Why it’s here: Combination skin still needs hydration. This step helps support drier areas without overwhelming the oilier zones.
Step 5 — Protect — Choose Your Sun Guard Finish
What it is: The final morning step, available in a clear Non-Tinted finish or a soft Tinted finish.
Why it’s here: Consistent daytime SPF completes the regimen. Choose the finish you will apply generously and consistently.
Sun Guard – Non-Tinted
Clear, lightweight and polished.
Sun Guard – Tinted
Soft tinted finish for a polished daytime look.
Optional — Intensive Repair Crème
What it is: A richer nighttime comfort option for combination skin with dry patches, seasonal tightness, or areas needing extra cushion.
Why it’s here: It can be used selectively at night on drier areas when Tea Tree Hydrating Gel alone does not feel sufficient.
